In the English lessons, the students of 1st Batxillerat have studied the life, the works, and the time of Jane Austen, the famous novelist.
We have worked in pairs to learn about some of her most famous novels such as Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Pride and Prejudice…, and learnt about the main topics in her novels and about the society in the Victorian era, a time when women’s main role in society was to find a rich man to marry with! In addition, the 14th of February we attended the play “Els Watson” in the Teatre National de Catalunya, in Barcelona, based on one of her unfinished novels. What an interesting writer!!!
