A different way of enriching the oral competence
This is the second school year students from the fourth level of E.S.O. are sharing moments and knowledge with pupils from the third level of primary.
We called the activity “Teens and Kids” taking into account the age of the students who work together.
Once a week and during one hour the class is divided into two groups of 12 kids approximately.One group and for half an hour stays in the classroom with the English teacher practising vocabulary, questions and guided writings. Meanwhile the other twelve students leave the classroom and in groups of four, having an E.S.O. student as the moderator of the group, work on the oral competence of the same topic.
Children enrich their oral competence while teenagers enrich their empathy towards children and their teaching skills.
