This last Saturday 26th May, the three students had to face the final stage of the Fonix English Competition, which was held in Barcelona.
Our ‘Plastiquish’ girls presented their project by doing a performance in front of an audience who came from different places in Catalonia. They showed ’their rubbish’ to the public – cleaned especially for the presentation – and which was hidden in suitcases. They explained the problem rubbish represents for the world and the possible solutions to overcome the situation.
It was a brilliant 4-minute-presentation full of excitement, fear and emotion, where our girls showed a high level of English as well as a great ability in expressing their work.
Someone from their families, teachers and the academic director of our school encouraged the girls during all the morning until the final moment, when they announced the winners!!!
The prize consists of a two-week-stay in an English-speaking country, Belfast.
